ASIPONA Coatzacoalcos welcomes cadets from the Naval Military School aboard the ship ARM Isla Holbox.

With the purpose of visiting the Port of Coatzacoalcos, the Lighthouse Museum, and the Coatzacoalcos Bicentennial Park, 153 third-year cadets of the Naval Systems Engineering program arrived yesterday aboard the ship ARM Isla Holbox, a 102m long logistics vessel belonging to the Secretariat of the Navy, docked at pier No. 6 of the Coatzacoalcos port facility.
Vice Admiral Martín Zepeda Anguiano, General Director of the National Port System Administration of Coatzacoalcos, S.A. de C.V., received 113 male and 40 female naval cadets moments ago in the boardroom of this entity. In a multimedia presentation, Zepeda Anguiano shared the progress, projects, and upcoming developments of the Port of Coatzacoalcos, and explained to the attendees the probable port expansion that would determine the increase in operations carried out here. He also reported on the fourth place that Coatzacoalcos currently holds in the national port system, according to federal port statistics that support the annual movement of more than 30 million tons of diverse cargo. These topics together are part of the challenges and realities that ASIPONA Coatzacoalcos undertakes with the purpose of improving its infrastructure and logistics, as part of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec project.
From April 11 to 24, on a training voyage that includes the ports of Veracruz, Tampico, Coatzacoalcos, Dos Bocas, Progreso, and Veracruz, the cadets' objective is to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom through exercises on the high seas and at different points along their land route.
The Heroic Naval Military School is an institution of higher education offering careers such as Naval Science Engineering, Hydrography Engineering, Naval Electronics and Communications Engineering, Aeronautical Science Engineering, Naval Mechanical Engineering, and a Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, among others. Its mission is to train officers for the Mexican Navy with the knowledge and doctrines inherent to the naval military profession, and it is located in the town of Antón Lizardo in the state of Veracruz.
