This afternoon, the M/V Onego Elbe set sail from the Port of Coatzacoalcos to transport 6,670 tons of ballasted pipe destined for the port of Chaguaramas, Trinidad and Tobago.

The specialized pipe-carrier vessel—measuring 145.63 meters in length with a 8.5-meter draft—arrived at Berth No. 1/2 on April 14. Loading operations began on April 15, involving the mobilization of a total of 540 pipes.

Bredero Shaw de México S.A. de C.V., the port concessionaire responsible for the pipe ballasting process, worked alongside the Unión de Estibadores y Jornaleros S.C.L. to execute the logistical and operational maneuvers, ensuring proper stowage and cargo safety.

According to the operational schedule, loading maneuvers were completed yesterday, April 16, at 3:00 PM, successfully accounting for the entire shipment.

Port Coatzacoalcos, the shortest distance between the Gulf of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean, reaffirms its operational capacity and strengthens the logistic and industrial development of the region.
