The BM "UBC SYDNEY" arrived to the port of Coatzacoalcos on Saturday February 18th, for the loading of 27,000 tons of coke to the United States.

On December 28th, the coke storage started within the port area from the refinery "General Lazaro Cardenas, with a daily collection volume of 850 tons, so, to date there are 40,000 tons in the port, waiting for the next shipments.

The company T.M.A. in charge of general shipping logistics, will develop the cargo operations through a mechanized system located in the pier No. 6; which consists of a cable car system of bands, directed toward the ship's hold with a total capacity of 4,000 tons a day.

PMI Trading, commercial arm of PEMEX, estimates to sell 500,000 tons of coke this year, which represent the arrival of at least 24 additional boats.

With this project, the Port of Coatzacoalcos consolidates itself as Mexico's leader in bulk cargo.
