The movement of ballasted pipes in the Port of Coatzacoalcos rebounds

The Integral Port Administration of Coatzacoalcos, S.A. de C.V., during the first half of this year has shipped only 25,268 tons of ballasted pipe on board 16 vessels, with the main destination being the port of Dos Bocas in the state of Tabasco.

Bredero Shaw de México, S.A. de C.V., a company belonging to the transnational group Shaw Corporation, is installed in an area of ​​31,500m2 inside the port; It is dedicated to the lining of pipes, using iron ore as raw material, in order to cover the operating conditions required for the laying of subsea lines, mainly for the oil activity of Pemex Exploración y Producción (PEP) and companies in the field, that carry out off-shore work located in the Gulf of Mexico.

In this way, Puerto de Coatzacoalcos meets the growing needs of exploration activities in shallow waters off the coast of Coatzacoalcos.
