SEDEMA certifies the Port of Coatzacoalcos

The Integral Port Administration of Coatzacoalcos, S.A. de C.V., obtains Certificate Number: SEDEMA / DGGARN-APC / 003/2021 for voluntarily establishing a Private Conservation Area (APC), 2.2087 ha., in the port area of ​​Laguna de Pajaritos.

The certification was granted by the Ministry of the Environment based on the provisions of articles 73 to 76 and 78 of State Law No. 62 of Environmental Protection, for carrying out actions derived from the environmental impact of the works of the Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec.
In the port areas of Coatzacoalcos, Laguna de Pajaritos and Parque del Bicentenario Coatzacoalcos, specific works have been carried out:

Coatzacoalcos:
• Collection, classification and disposal of urban solid waste, special handling thereof.
• Reforestation.
• Installation of solar panels.

Pajaritos Lagoon:
• Rescue and relocation of the mangrove.
• Private Conservation Area (APC).
• Cleaning of private conservation area.
• Construction of a forest nursery.
• Composting area.

Coatzacaoalcos Bicentennial Park:
• Reforestation and maintenance of native species.
